An amazing journey

We started with the fantastic team at Secrenase in October 2004 so we have been working under their guidance for about 16 months. It has been the most amazing journey. When we started our little boy Lleyton 4 at the time, was continually constipated, was not toilet trained for the pooing side of things. He had very limited speech and this only started when he was 3, was mainly echolaic. He could'nt answer any of the "wh" questions, was withdrawn, had eye contact issues, hand flapped, rolled his head for fun, was having trouble at preschool with inappropriate play like taking children's hats off and laughing when he got into trouble. Speech therapy ect were hard work because he would just shut down. Within 5 or 6 days of staring treatment we noticed changes. He was no longer constipated and he toilet trained over night, his general behaviour was calmer. As the treatment went on and the test results unfolded. We were shocked to discover that Lleyton's hair test results were the worst the secrenase team had ever seen. We started Chelation and fixed the Dysbiosis issues. Within months major changes in his bevioour and his speech were occuring. By the time he turned up at preschool for the new year only 4 months into Chelation they could not believe he was the same child. In April 2005 we had Lleyton assessed by a leading devlopmental paeditrician in Sydney and ASD was not mentioned. So after only 7 months on Chelation ASD was undetectable. Lleyton still had a severe Language Disorder but that is all that was diagnosed. We have had to be vigalent with Lleyton's supplements, we find that if he gets sick and can't take them for a few days we pay with behaviour. And yes we have had ups and downs in the chelation process but the worst battle for us is Zinc. Lleyton has been very Zinc dependent throughout the process and when his level drops some stimming returns and so does silly behaviour. The team at Secrenase have always been at the other end of the phone and their support and encouragement throughout this process has made it an easier road to travel. They always take time to educate you and take an interest, real interest in you and your family. I am very proud to say that Lleyton has started Kindergarten in mainstream school with no extra support needed. He is a social, happy, talkative, sensitive, gorgeous little boy who has emerged like a butterfly from the muck in his body. He has been at school for 3 weeks now and loves it. He already has made two best buddies and he knew no one when he started. He is completely in love with his teacher and he is like a sponge. I think his brain is making up for lost time. We are still not finished Chelation but my gut feeling is that the next hair test results will show we are getting close. He also has just stopped being so Zinc dependent in the last two days. I cannot recommend the whole service more highly and how do you thank someone for returning your little boy to you.
